My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Nepal, Blue Masked Dancer, 1983 - In addition to serious Buddhist religious ceremonies, the monks during Mani Rimdu also wore fantastic costumes, coming down the stairs of the old monastery and dancing in the flat courtyard. I noted the repeated use of the skull motif.
South Georgia, Salisbury Plain, Penguins, 2006 - South Georgia was an amazing place. It was not only the landscape and the animals that were spectacular, but the clouds as well.
