This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Slovenia, Sveti Jurij, House Mural, 2006 - It is not uncommon for houses in Slovenia to have murals like this painted on them. (This was taken on the border of Sveta Jurij and Radenci Province, though I am not exactly sure which was it was in.)
Falkland Is, Black-browed Albatross Feeding Young, 2006 - When I first saw these birds, I thought that they were a pair of adults communicating. I later learned that the young albatrosses cannot fly at all, and they grow as big as, or even bigger than their parents. The young bird is stranded, as it cannot fly. The parent fishes, then brings it back to the young. The fish is expelled from the parent's throat into the expectant chick open bill.

Ghana, Accra Airport, 2000 - In 1987 I traveled across Ghana the old fashioned way, by car and train. In 2003 I had a stop over at the airport. I was surprised to see such interesting architecture in this new airport building.

Greenland, Warming Island, off coast of Liverpool Land, Looking South To Southwest Finger, 2006 - This is an aerial photograph from the helicopter on the way to Warming Island. This shot looks south. The southwest finger of Warming Island is just right of center in the foreground. Following the strait to the right leads to the broken glacier, hidden here by afternoon fog.
