This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Congo Zaire, Canoe Sunset, 1984 - This photograph was taken on the Congo River, known as the Zaire River in 1984. Villagers constantly canoed to the steamboat to sell their goods, including monkeys, fish and other forms of food.

Thailand, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon [Bangkok] Province, We Honor The King, 2008, IMG_4380 - I took this photo while driving at 100 kilometers per hour. Tributes to the king of Thailand are everywhere.
Italy, Pisa Moon, 1989 - On a return trip from Africa in 1989, I drove from Sicily to Holland. On the way, I stopped by Pisa, Italy for the first time. I rushed to get there before nightfall, but was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, a moon rose, presenting me with an opportunity for an unusual photograph of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Cambodia, Kampong Chaam Prov, Lotus Flower
Haiti, Nippes Province, Skipping A Rock, IMG_4827 - A girl skips a rock on the water of a large lake in Nippes, a new ISO province as of the 2007 update.
India, Rajasthan, Cows Working Water Well, 1984 - This photograph shows how the Rajasthani farmers used animals to pump water from their wells. Some farmers used cows, some camels and, at one well, a cow and a camel shared duties. The farmer would ride them down a slope (such as seen here) with a yoke around the animal's neck, then hop off at the bottom and lead the animal back up to the top.
Slovenia, Slovenj Gradec Prov, White Flower
Nepal, Blue Masked Dancer, 1983 - In addition to serious Buddhist religious ceremonies, the monks during Mani Rimdu also wore fantastic costumes, coming down the stairs of the old monastery and dancing in the flat courtyard. I noted the repeated use of the skull motif.
