This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

India, Rajasthan, Anklet, 1984 - Indian woman wore tattoos, bracelets, anklets, gold rings through their nostrils and other such adornments. It seemed becoming for them to do so. Here, a woman gathers water in the hot Rajasthani sun. This photograph was taken on my walk to the Taj Mahal from Jaipur.

Nepal, Sunset Near Everest, 1983 - The first time I went to Nepal's Solu Khumbu region, I walked to Everest Base Camp. I was coming back and it grew dark, and I got lost on the glacier. I came over an ice hill and saw this sunset. Although cold and in danger of freezing, I took out my camera and took this photograph. Fortunately, I found my way back to the Yeti Tea Shop.
