This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

India, Varanasi, Burning Ghats, 1984 - I marveled at the Burning Ghats of Varanasi. It was first time I witnessed cremation. I was forbidden by the locals to take a picture from here. They said if it was night, they would throw me off the balcony. As I went to leave they said I could take just one photo and then I could never come back. In the top of the photograph is the Ganges, the Holy River of India.
PH, Lanao Del Sur Province, BananaLeaf Rope, 2008, IMG_9091 - This enormous rope is made from banana leaves. Two men worked a machine which stripped all the water and leafy material, resulting in this beautiful, luminescent rope. I imagine it is later woven into useful form.
