This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

China, Heilongjang Province, Harbin Ice Festival, 1992 - In 1992, I went to Harbin with my fiance at the time (later married, then ended). It was romantic: ice cold temperatures, dingy hotels and love in between visits to the ice castles. The Harbin Ice Festival is worth a visit.

Madagascar, Lemur Close Up, 2003 - In one day of lemur camera-hunting at Ranomafana, we were not dissappointed. I mother and her young seemed just as curious about us as we were about them. When I took this photograph, she was a mere four feet away.
Morocco, Atlas Mountains, Mohamed, 1988 - I had gone to climb Mount Toubkal but was turned back by snow, lack of gear and an unwilling guide. I decided to walk back through a different valley than that by which I arrived. I was told that when I got to the village at the bottom of the gorge, I should search for Mohamed. I was given a small photograph so that I could identify him. When I arrived, it was growing dark. A man appeared from his house and inquired who I was. I showed him the photograph. He motioned that it was he, Mohamed! Mohamed invited me to eat with his family and spend the night. His wife prepared couscous. Everyone ate with their right hand.
Slovenia, Obcina Hrpelje-Kozina, Bee In Flower, 2006 - It was not until the Spring of 2006 during my in-depth trip to Slovenia that I became fascinated with the small world all around us. Every time I wanted to take a photograph of a beautiful flower, I discovered that the little creatures of the world lived in a world far more beautiful than the most lavish mansions of man.
