This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Papua New Guinea, Cassowary On Trail, 1983 - On my first day of a thirty-nine day journey in the rainforest of New Guinea, I noticed this bird along the trail. I approached it to take a photograph. I was surprised when it didn't run away. It was a pet of a native woman who was walking with us. It followed her like a dog follows its master.

South Sandwich Is, Green Seal Rookery, 2006 - When we arrived at Saunders Island, we were told we could not land due to lack of suitable access for a zodiac. I begged to differ, but I was not in charge. There were many fur seals and penguins on the shore. Even though I didn't land, doing a Zodiac cruise along the shores afforded views not possible from land.
