This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Nigeria, Children against Contoured Wall, 1990 - The exuberance of these children is visible in this photograph, taken in Jos, Nigeria. I traveled across Nigeria from the northernmost tip of Cameroon down through Enugu to Lagos.
Solomon Islands, Our Departure From Ngarringnasuru, 1982 - Fred Billy Akwafaasie took us up the coast in a motorized canoe. We needed to get to the road in the northeast of Malaita. From there we took a truck across the island and a local boat to Honiara. Villagers came to see us off. There were no roads to Sinalagu Bay in 1982.
Afghan Girl, Afghanistan, 2002 - This photograph was taken about 30 miles outside of Kabul. The girl’s eyes were mesmerizing, reminding me of a famous National Geographic photo taken many years ago. Many Afghanis had blue/green eyes such as these.
Tanzania, Cheetahs with Kill (far view), 1984 - This photograph was taken in Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. These two cheetahs had just killed a wildebeeste. They had had their fill and sat panting, unable to eat more.
