This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Tibet, Tibet Girls, 1995 - This photograph was taken in the same place as "Tibet Children." The children were more than willing to pose. It was undoubtedly very seldom, if ever, that Western people stopped at this place. We only did so because of a flat tire. Their clothing and the expression on their faces is evidence of the bitter cold.

Seram, Cicada, 2006 - Of the cicadas in Seram, I wrote, "The sound of cicadas cutting the atmosphere in a continual shrill made me question what their purpose was, and I felt surprise at the notion that people are not more curious as to the ways animals and insects communicate. For my part, it is a certain fact that they indeed communicate in intricate ways, forging intellect into channels, atmospheres and realms that we cannot even imagine."
PH, Tarlac Province, Aeta Girl Of Mixed Blood, 2008, IMG_2565r1 - The Aeta are the original people of the Philippines. This girl is a mix, not a full-blooded Aeta.
Tanzania, Richard McGill with Hypothermia on Mt. K, 1984 - Richard McGill from the UK, Gabrielle from New Zealand and I strolled up Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. Gabrielle stopped at Gilman Peak while Richard and I went on to the summit at Uhuru Peak. Here, Richard suffers from hypothermia. In the book at the top, Richard wrote the following inscription, "?A Rootin Stootin Tootin reet Stootir, though a bit of a weed at times?nearly died too!."
