This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

This gorge can be seen on the way from Dushanbe to Khorug in Gorno-Badakhshan. See the road to the right of this photograph. There is a serious danger of rock fall. You pass under cliffs. It is spectacular in the winter.

Ascension, Woman Mountain, 2006 - Called "the ugliest island I've ever been" by some of my fellow passengers aboard the Alexey Maryshev, Ascension Island proved to be one of the most beautiful. I have never seen a mountain look like this.
Riska on top of Ternate Volcano, 2005
Indonesia, Maluku Utara Province
Twelve years later, I fulfilled this vision on the top of Ternate Island in Indonesia when Riska agreed to pose for me.
Iran, Perspolis, Figure On Wings, 1984 - Perspolis, in southern Iran, was one of the more interesting ruins I have visited. The stone reliefs were excellent. This motif of a man sitting in a circle in wing, holding a similar circle in his hand, was memorable. It is known as the Faravahar, a symbols of Zoroastrianism. Zoroaster's teachings influenced Christianity, Islam and Judaism.
