This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Papua New Guinea, Cassowary Horn, 1983 - This photograph shows the remarkable horn of the cassowary. The cassowary is a large, flightless bird native to New Guinea and surrounding areas. The cassowary kills a number of people every year with its horn.

Tanzania, Poached Elephant Carcass, 1984 - This is a sad reminder of the ivory trade's devastation on the elephant population in Africa. The poachers cut out the tusks and left this carcass to rot.
Pacific Ocean, Kelly Showering On Deck, 1982 - Kelly and I were part of the five person crew traveling across the Pacific Ocean on the Sugar Bear. To bathe, we showered on deck with salt water, and then rinsed with a small amount of fresh water. Fresh water is used very sparingly on an ocean voyage for obvious reasons.
USA, Midway, Albatross Breeding Season, 2002 - I was fortunate to come to Midway Island during the time when the albatross were breeding. Rather an incredible spectacle, here our group travels along a path bordered by thousands of pairs. Thanks to Charles Veley for including me in those he invited on this special charter.
