This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Guadeloupe, Face Petroglyph, 2000 - I was surprised to find that there were petroglyphs on the French island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean. I thought this site was one of the most interesting things on the island.
Bouvet, Zodiac 6 The Aftermath, 2006 - The passengers are in the water. Jan runs back to help.
UK, Milton Keynes Prov, Two Boats
Bismarck Archipelago, Panguna Copper Mine, Bougainville, 1983 - In 1983, Panguna were peaceful. After I left, indigenous rebels seized the mine. A conflict went on for years. The immense size of this mine can be appreciated if (you take a magnifying glass and) note the size of the trucks on the left hand side. These are the same size as the truck in the other photo (Jeff Shea With Panguna Copper Mine Truck) on this site. Bougainville is purported to have the people with the blackest skin on earth.
Nepal, Mani Rimdu, Horns, 1983 - These impressive horns make a deep, bellowing sound. One night above Tengboche monastery (in the Solo Khumbu region of Nepal), the horns blew, resounding off the walls of the immense valley where Tengboche lies. Tengboche, where this photograph is taken, is arguably one of the most fantastic places on earth, especially during the festival of Mani Rimdu.
Ascension, Woman Mountain, Light Detail 2, 2006 - I could imagine I was on the moon. Only,
there is unlikely to be such a beautiful scene there. I watched and waited, one of my favorite pasttimes. Now, the light made the belly black, the breasts a light brown, and the cone of the face partially covered in shadow. The clouds painted the landscape with ease and grace.
