This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

India, Darjeeling, Kanchenjunga, 1984 - Kanchenjunga, roughly translated as "Five Treasures of the Snow", is the third highest mountain in the world. This photograph was taken from Darjeeling, which appears in the foreground.
Seram, Suku Terasing, Zarah, 2006 - Zarah was one of the women that arrived with the Suku Terasing. There were about 15 people in all. The chief did not come. We were told it was because he had a bad leg. Zarah was the daughter of Mateus, a man that lived half in and half out of civilization. Mateus had married into the Suku Terasing. Zarah was a rather striking woman.
India, Calcutta, Scorpions, 1984 - On the streets of Calcutta, some men kept these scorpions in baskets. I assume they were for sale, possibly for some purpose, though I cannot imagine what for.
