This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Slovenia, Obcina Hrpelje-Kozina, Bee In Flower, 2006 - It was not until the Spring of 2006 during my in-depth trip to Slovenia that I became fascinated with the small world all around us. Every time I wanted to take a photograph of a beautiful flower, I discovered that the little creatures of the world lived in a world far more beautiful than the most lavish mansions of man.

Mexico, Chiapas, 1993 - I traveled to a small village in the Yucatan to see the life in the countryside. There was a small house where a woman sold hand made fabrics. Her daughter was named Firenze. Someone said she looked sad, but actually she seemed to be a happy girl. This was just a quiet moment while she posed for me.
In her village was a church. I went inside. In the back was an area where musicians kept their instruments. I had never seen some of them before. For example, there was a huge guitar. I felt like I had walked back in time. (4x5 format)
I have yet to identify this bird. This photos highly enhanced to bring out the color in the feathers. It appears dark blue and white in real life. I've been trying to take photos of this bird for about 8 years but it's always too skiddish and flies away. In Tajikistan, however, I was finally able to get close!

Kosovo, Riding The Back Of The Truck, 2003 - I drove across Kosovo to Montenegro in a car rented from Serbia. I didn't realize until someone told me that it was a bit dangerous to drive around with Serbian license plates, given recent history. Here a man rides the back of a truck. My feeling in Kosovo was one of restrained sadness.
