This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2450 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

China, Shanghai, Country Girl In Big City, 1995 - June, the young woman in the photograph, hailed from a factory in Anhui Province. She was typical of so many Chinese migrating to the big city to find their calling and their fortune. She was a lovely woman, with a certain innocence and a gorgeous body.
Greenland, Warming Island, off coast of Liverpool Land, Tent After Storm And Pinnacles, 2006 - After the storm of Sept 8, 2006, the snowdrift reached the top of my vestibule (on the other side of this tent). The three pinnacles of Warming Island above the new strait were dusted with snow.
Tanzania, Horombo Huts on Mt. K, 1984 - On our second day of hiking from the trailhead, we reached Horombo Huts, where we spent the night. In the background is the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.

Taiwan, Penghu Prov, Stone House Painting Laurel Hardy - The cultures of the world amalgamate. Some anthropologists celebrate in this. Sentimentalists, such as I, feel sad over the intrusion of my own culture into that of others.

Bangladesh, Bogra Prov, Saw Mill - Still, the old-fashioned way of sawing is in use. It is nice to know that not the whole world is "modernized."
