This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2450 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Germany, Baden-Wurtenburg Province, Stork Calls, 2008, IMG_5982CU4 - Opfingen is one of my favorite villages in Germany. It is a quiet place. Up on the hill, there is a church with a beautiful sunlit cemetary. On the rooftop live a family of storks. I was told that the young fly off to live elsewhere, and when the old ones die, the young ones come back to live. They are noble and magnificent creatures. I went up the hiil on at least three occasions, waiting for the clouds to part and the sunlight to strike the birds.
Morocco, Berber Wedding, 1988 - In 1988, I traveled overland across the Sahara desert. My first stop in Africa on this trip was Morocco. I attempted to climb Mt. Toubkal, the highest mountain in the Atlas Range, but I was unsuccessful because of lack of equipment and an unwilling guide. Spending the night in a Berber village, I was lucky enough to see a local wedding. In this scene, onlookers observe the wedding below while I observe (and photograph) them.
