This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Papua New Guinea, Lake Kutubu, 1983 - When we arrived at Lake Kutubu, we had to travel across to the other side by dugout canoe. We got a ride on a mission plane back to Mendi.
Thailand, Mae Hong Son Province, Kayan Girl, 2008, IMG_3794 CU1 - I didn't want to take photos of the long-neck Karen women as oddities, but rather to depict and convey the reason that this custom came into being originally: for its beauty. This young Karen girl was not only picture perfect, but her eyes show a deep soul and good heart.
Antarctica, Sled Tipped Over With Ice Slope Ahead, 1997 - This is a typical scene for traveling with a plastic sled on snow and ice. Sometimes it is hard to control, and it tips over. Not much fun when you are trying to get somewhere in Antarctica! This photograph is taken on the way to climb Mount Vinson, Antarctica's tallest peak.
Tanzania, Poached Elephant Carcass, 1984 - This is a sad reminder of the ivory trade's devastation on the elephant population in Africa. The poachers cut out the tusks and left this carcass to rot.
