This website illuminates my life and adventures. My longing for freedom has led me to over 2600 of the world’s 3978 provinces, to every country on earth and to the summit of the highest peak on each continent (thank heaven for good weather!). In my travels, I learned to respect the intelligence and ingenuity of people of all races and callings both past and present. Come see the world as I see it: as a peaceful place, full of nature and beauty. With the right spirit and intent, we can make our world a virtual Garden of Eden.

Germany, Baden-Wurtenburg Province, Stork Calls, 2008, IMG_5982CU4 - Opfingen is one of my favorite villages in Germany. It is a quiet place. Up on the hill, there is a church with a beautiful sunlit cemetary. On the rooftop live a family of storks. I was told that the young fly off to live elsewhere, and when the old ones die, the young ones come back to live. They are noble and magnificent creatures. I went up the hiil on at least three occasions, waiting for the clouds to part and the sunlight to strike the birds.
Singapore, Jurong Light Painting, 2008, IMG_1071 - What reality does collective light create?
Chile, Puerto Williams, 2006 - We passed Puerto Williams during dinner aboard the Alexey Maryshev, on our way to sub Antarctic seas. I rushed out with my camera onto the deck, impressed by the jagged peaks in the sunset.
PH, Zamboanga Del Sur Province, Flower, 2008, IMG_8865 - One of the inhabitants of Zamboanga Del Sur, on the southwestern corner of Mindanao.
Central African Republic, Portrait Of Pygmy Girl, 2000 - One day during our stay in Bayanga, I went to the nearby pygmy villages and asked the young women to dress up in their traditional attire so that I could photograph them with my 8x10 inch camera. We put out the word and said we would come back. When we picked them up, we managed to get eight girls into the Land Rover with two of us and the driver, eleven people in all. I took this photograph with a 35mm. This girl had a strikingly beautiful face.

Greenland, Constable Pynt, Liverpool Land, Chikka's Profile, 2006 - Chikka, the dog whose occupation was to protect the settlement at the Constable Pynt airstrip from bears was the most amazing animal I ever met. He he was so spirited, running full steam up the hill in snowdrifts. He tagged along one afternoon as I walked miles up to the plateau above Constable Pynt.
